Default upgraded to WIN 2000 Pro-Did I lose everything?

I upgraded my friends computer from Millineum Edition to WIndows 2000 Professional. Now it says there is no network adapter drive. WHat does that mean?

Alos would the OS upgrade erase what existed on the computer (Not files, but software like ROXIO and photo shop?)

The only way you would have lost data is if you formatted the hard drive. You probably just need a new driver for your network adapter, check device manager for more information.

Try a simple search to find any files that appear to be missing, most likely they have just been moved.
