Two Wifi adapters on Windows 10

I'm setting up some Surface Pro 3's and we have mobile wireless printers also.

The printers are capable of direct wireless printing. They broadcast an SSID and you can connect the tablet to it. But, the program we print from also requires a wifi internet connection to run.

My idea is to get a tiny wifi dongle, plug it into the tablet USB port, then connect that adapter to the Printer SSID, while still using the built-in wifi to connect to the internet simultaneously. I'm not sure if Windows will be able to handle this, or if it will keep separate network profile settings for each adapter. Anyone have experience using two wifi nics on win 10?

Just have both connected to your network and they will see each other. You can also print to the printer by email if you are out.

Can't connect them both to the same network in the field as the only thing the user will have is their iphone to hotspot to the tablet. I suppose the email option might work if this printer supports it, I'll have to check.

thanks
