Trying to install Win8, having problems

I want to boot it along side of my existing Win7/Ubuntu installs. I have a partition all ready for it, the only problem is that I can't seem to be able to choose where to install it. I can't boot from my USB HDD for whatever reason, so I just extracted the iso and ran setup.exe. It all works, it just doesn't give me an option as to where I want to install it too. Help?

It seem to be the reason of booting.
so kindlly let boot CD rom first.

Yeah, I eventually did make a DVD and it was fine. I just don't understand why it wouldn't let me change the installation location when I booted from the external drive. Oh well....

As I have installed Windows 8 two day ago. It is the same as installation of Windows 7 .
if can, kindly let me know step by step of installation of Windows 8 which you have been happened.

I already figured it out, I just had to boot from a DVD instead of a USB HDD.

I thought that you couldnt get Windows 8 yet?
