I just upgraded my new windows 8 laptop to windows 7. the touchpad is like the apple laptops where it clicks anywhere, the whole touchpad clicks down. thats the part of the touchpad that doesnt work. the left click, right click, moving the cursor, and tap clicking all work. cant figure it out.

You probably need to install the driver for the touchpad from the manufacturer's website. Search their website for drivers for your model and download and install the touchpad driver for Windows 7.
