When is it asking for the password, before or after booting to windows?

If it's before, just removing the CMOS isn't guaranteed like it used to be, many laptops are now storing the passwords in flash memory so removing the password doesn't clear it. You would need to send the laptop into the manufacturer to get it removed and they will charge for that.

If it's a windows password, then you're out of luck as we can't help you with that.

You can try clearing and reflashing the CMOS , but there is no guarantee this will work as more manufacturers are now storing this on HDD to prevent hackers stealing important information.

Does it show bios selections first like press f2 or f10 then ask for password? Could be encrypted hard drive maybe a password set from inside bios. Need a little more info!
