i got a stop error message a few days ago, and safe mode was working then. the error screen told me to do these things

disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation, or backup utilities. check ur Hardrive configuration, and check for any updated drivers. Run CHKDSK /F to check for Hardive corruption and then restart your computer

in safe mode i went to my computer and started the chkdsk there, would start on the next reboot. but after i turn on the computer and click safe mode, the screen stays on the 'safe mode loading screen'

and when i go in safe mode, if i dont do the "press esc to cancel loading STPD.sys" then it'll go to the stpo error screen
