Default Singing in songs sounds quite and echoy compaired to the music..

my mum has a really messed up problem with her sound card i presume.. iv tried installing drivers.. changing settings.. uninstalling the sound device and reinstalling it with no success.

Can any1 please suggest how i can fix this?? i recall encountering it myself years ago and getting round it somehow, didnt take me this long to figure out last time though!!!

All I can think of, is that she has a Karaoke setting on the sound card, somewhere in the settings, which is trying to cut out singing, and not very successfully, leaving an echo of backing.

So look for a setting like that.
