Default service packs wont install?

I just did a clean install of windows 2000 pro on my amd athalon 1 ghz
But now i cant download or install any of the service packs or updates from the microsoft website.
Does anyone know what might be causeing this problem?

nope. i have had it installed for 2 years now and didnt have any problems before. it just since i formatted and reinstalled

If you can't get it installed , try doing a system restore by booting up w/the driver's CD in the tray.

p.s ...Make shure the CD tray is the 1st on the boot menu, you can make to boot 1st, in bios.

maybe it's your network? maybe it's just corrupt software? rereinstall ?
