In search of a software.

I have this one large music file which I like to make tracks with. The thing is I want the tracks split into one file, I know its possible because a friend of mine downloaded 1 large track and it had individual track selections within that one large file. I've tried googling this thing but not too sure if I'm googling the words correctly. If you know this software or how to go about it, I would appreciate the help.

You should use certain type of vcd cutter to make the fragments of a big music file, it is quite useful tool to trim the larger files into smaller segments.
