Default Screen problem when playing UT2

I recently installed unreal tournament 2004 and Doom 3 on my computer and a day after playing them, ive noticed that when Im playing UT2, the screen frequently minimizes in the middle of play and I have to click on the window to open it up again.

Why does this happen? Cant my computer handle the game in some way? My system easily meets the requirements.

Perhaps lowering the system settings within the game may help? Sounds logical.

Also, occasionally when windows task manager says CPU usage 100%, my HDD indicator is blank.

Im suspecting a block somewhere but where?

Default Re: Screen problem when playing UT2

Usually when a window automatically minimizes itself, it's because some sort of other program is tring to access it somehow or tring to shut it down, this could be caused by spyware or maleware. i would do a fuul scan for spyware in safemode.

As far as your CPU bottoming out at 100% is really strange in my case,i would check your starup tab by typing MSCONFIG in the run box, and eliminating un-nessasary programs that your not using or don't need at the time.

That would be a start to hunting down the problem.
