OK, so in an earlier thread I posted about my laptop giving out on me and asking for advice on possible courses of action to take.
I have been told that my mobo is nonfunctional and that the best course of action would be to take the hard drive out and copy information from A to B.
As a follow up question, as I intend to remove and copy my hard drive; is it necessary to use a program for these purposes, or can I just plug in the drive and then plug in to a functional computer and copy directly? Or is this a special set of actions that DO REQUIRE a program to do this, if so are there any recommendations.
