restoring windows to factory

hello, my friend is having problems with his computer, and he wants to restore it back to factory settings.. and we don't know how to do that, there's no option to it when the computer starts, the bios stuff.. how do we do it?

Well to get into BIOS, start pressing F2 and the Delete key (one of these should get you into BIOS) after you turn the PC on. Poke around until you find a setting called "Load Defaults" or something similar. If you are talking about restoring Windows to the condition it was when the machine was new, then you are going to need the system restore disk that came with the computer. Either that or a full version Windows install disk to reinstall from scratch (a better idea in my opinion).

F1 is also a possibility for the BIOS key.
