Hi people!

I am currently having problems reformatting my windows xp laptop by fujitsu.

1. Laptop is 5 years old.
2. Installed new RAM recently.
3. After installed RAM, laptop worked fine.
4. Reformat the laptop, during installation, blue screens when the installation is finishing. Tried again it stucks at the same final place. Tried 10 times and a couple of times it just shuts down at the same spot.
5. Using the disc given by fujitsu.

Any idea what went wrong?? It shut downs or blues screens at the final league of reformatting.:(

ps: I was told that newer RAM have a different voltage(something like that) and it fries the laptop. True?

PLEASE HELP!!! frustrated!!!!!

Some RAM does have different voltage from what i know. And your problem is very interesting. I have never had that problem b4 and i have reformated many hard drives a few more then 10 years old. Can you tell me the process you go threw to do it?
