Question Re-Installing WinXP Pro

Hi, this is my first post here. I was looking for an informal and helpful forum and found this. So here I go. I don't know if this is the right place for it. Most likely is.

Ok, I have a fresh copy of WinXP Pro. I am running Win7 Beta 7048. I want to go back, even know I love Win7, I want to wait for the official release. I want to always wipe clean my HDD. So I was wondering if I where to just boot from the WinXP Pro CD that I would not have to wipe my HDD, it would just do it for me, or would I have to use a program like, DBAN or Kill Disk first then just boot the CD. Thanks!!!

During the XP setup, you will be given the option to delete the current partition, create a new one and then format it, effectively "wiping" it clean.
