Default Quick Question on recovery

Hello. I havent posted in here in a long while lol. My question is if your PC has failed to boot and you have an external hard drive with an OS on it can you boot with the external and get your data off of your internal one?

that depends if your bios supports booting from an external hdd

lol well i cant tell there buddy. It just says removable in the BIOS. I assume it supports all external devices.

well set that to the first boot priority, and hope for the best. i also think the external drive needs to support being booted

As long as the bios supports USB boot support, then yes you can.

Whats the exact error your getting? It might be a simple fix anyway, without having to do anything as drastic as copying all your data to another drive.
