I got Windows XP Media to install on my 2nd new PC build.

I bought an OEM copy with out knowing more about it and how it installs.

The label warning says I need "specific" drivers as well as what in the OEM package of XP media.

What would that be? is that the same as the drivers that format the HDD.

Oh yeah, I also bought an OEM HDD, whats up with that too and how does it plug into this build.

I don't remember having this problem when I built my 1st PC, thanks Joe :)

OEM- Original Equipment Manufacture (Means Discount!)

A OEM copy of XP is no different form a Retail version of XP- not even how it installs. The difference between them is nothing you would notice.

Drivers don't format the HDD.

The OEM HDD, plugs into your system the same way a Retail HDD does.

I can't speak for Media Center itself, but it can't be any different that XP Home or Pro.
If you have any problems, post back.

Everything went fine with the build, but there was something wrong with the on board Ethernet plug in it would not work, I had to buy a PCI card to get on line, so I fine tuned it then shut it down for another fix...

Was the ethernet connection showing in Device Manager?
Was the ethernet connection showing in Network Connections?
If not, then it may be disabled in the BIOS. Try getting into the BIOS, and see if it's disabled. Many times, this is the reason on-boards don't work, because the computer can't see them ;)
