Default Question(s): OS: Win

Hey guys,
Questions,
Windows 2000, this is a stupid question so appolgies! But with Windows 2000 do you have to use it as a server, is'nt that it's main purpose?
Also what if i was to use it(and could) but i don't want to run the net on it? Would that be waste of a OS. Im not sure, if i was to use it on my other comp, but without the net since i dont really need, need, the net on there, it's building/learning etc, about this computer build. Do you think that is a good idea or try something else?

And i had another question but buggers it :\ ive forgotten... Anyways!

Thanks alot guys for help.

Windows 2000 Pro was intended as a desktop operating system for a buisness enviroment.

Windows 2000 Pro is a GREAT os, it's very good for older computers. Virtually like XP minus a few features (most missed are a crappy image viewer, and it doesnt nativly open zip files)
