Default Problem Downloading

Recently I had my OS, after several years of use, completely reinstalled. So, now I am in the mist of installing programs, drivers, etc.

After downloading a file from the net a double left click or a right click fails to activate the download from the download file. Suggestions?

If you are using Windows 7 try right click and run as admin.

If that doesn't work you can try downloading the file again but into a different file location. If this works you will have to look at the permissions for the original folder you saved it to.

Just dig around a bit in the options.you should find something. Download the file again anyway as it might be corrupt.

Otherwise try moving the file to another location.
