Porn

I was wondering can one get porn in the computer if you do not actually look at it? I mean if say someone used torrent, or pirate bay to down load movies etc, or itunes for music, can porn be attached there somewhere and make it's way into my computer?

Thanks for your reply. But maybe you misundestood my question.
Basically I want to know if my husband is watching porn. He says he does not and never has. But a week ago he had his computer looked at, there were many spyware things slowing down his computer and some 170 files of what we were told gay porn, how this person knew this I don't know. But as a wife I am not sure what to believe. He says he does not watch porn. I know he likes to down load movies using pirate bay and some "you torrent" or something, uses groove shark, itunes not sure what else. But he is not a computer wiz and neither am I as you can tell. I am just curious if he could be telling me the truth that it could have made it's way into his computer by him looking at absolutely normal web sites.

Most likely the program which said he had spyware is the issue.

What is the program called? And most importantly, did you install it?

It is my husbands computer which I do not touch, when his friend was helping him figure out what was causing the problems and why the computer was so slow with any type of function you did, it took 10-15 minutes just to shut down or open google etc

So his "friend" told him he had "gay porn" on his computer. That sounds like a nice joke...

If he had spyware and virus then that is what is slowing down the computer. Unless there can be proof from his friend then I'd say he was messing with him and that you should trust your husband.

Yes that's what he told him, he also showed it to me first before he told him. He was showing me the computer screen with what looked like Chinese to me, pointing saying look how much porn, like a 170 files or something. I don't know how to knew it was porn, I just glanced at the computer but did not bother to stair and try to figure it out what it was, just took his word for it. But then he started playing around saying it must have been be, since it was gay porn. But never the less, naturally this whole situation got unpleasant and hurtful and I just want the truth, but it's all deleted now and no one can prove anything. Obviously it's not the end of the world, but pornography is a sensitive area for me
And thanks for the up lift, just want to know the truth, who wouldn't. I do have a mentality what you don't know does not hurt you, but when I suspect already then I prefer the truth. ;-)

A constant joke when men are fixing issues with a friends computer is "well maybe you should stop looking at <porn type>" jokes using random files as proof. I do it all the time to people whom I know will laugh and understand that it's a joke. Assuming your husband and his friend are anything like my friends and I that is likely what happened.

Now on a serious note, it is possible for spyware and other forms of malware to download files of any type. This could be something as simple as a picture or song or as dangerous as another virus/spyware program. Back when I had first started working at a local computer shop there were a few programs that would constantly pop up pornographic pictures that it had pulled down onto the hard drive. This isn't as popular of an attack anymore but that doesn't mean it doesn't still exist.

All of this is to say one thing. It was most likely a joke. However even if it wasn't a joke, it is entirely possible for something like that to happen. If your husband hasn't lied about this kind of thing before I would continue to believe him now.

I have caught him with magazines ones and movies twice, but both times the story was that it was not his lol
But it was long ago and not true anymore.

I'm sorry to break it to you but all men watch porn, some more than others but beleive me, all of em do it from time to time if its available to them! Yes, your husband, your father, your grandfather, and your kids. It's completely normal.

Whether they are watching GAY porn or not.... that I don't know. But it has been proven that when male urges are controlled to an extreme they tend to develop unusual interests. Such as the rumors about catholic priests for example
