I have just done a fresh install of windows 7 premium on a new SSD.
Just out of curiosity I checked the event log for any errors (as I wanted to make sure the system was stable).
There is only one log of concern and it appears at boot but does not cause any problems (that I'm aware of).
The error is this "Some processor performance power management features have been disabled due to a known firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware."
As I say its not causing a problem however I don't really want any bad logs in the event log on a new build.
The BIOS is up to date and speedstep is enabled (as suggested on other sites to try).
Anyone got any other ideas ?
