Overseas, Would Skype Credits benefit me for regular phone calls?

I am currently out of the states and do not have communication via telephone but need to make calls to landline and cell phone... would skype credits benefit me with this, or would i be blowing to much money for very little time

Hi, I am based in the UK and I call a Taiwan landline frequently and it costs around 0.1pence per minute. Which I think is very good, cell phone are bit more expensive around 14.0 pence a minute

I guess your calls on skype will be simular

I'd get a subscription if you want to use skype to call the states. It's three dollars a month for unlimited calling to landlines and cellphones. Also if you want to be uber cheep use google talk or whatever they're calling it these days, if I'm remembering correctly it's free for calls to US and Canada until the end of 2011.
