Default Operating system related?

I have Win XP installed in my system. I had to reinstall XP as it was hanging. Now when I start the system, there are two instances of Win XP which appears on the screen, one is the old one and the other one which I recently reinstalled. How could I remove the old one from the opening screen?

Hi,

You will need to go to Control Panel -> System. Then click on the advanced tab. Next click on the Settings under System and Recovery. You will see a sentence that say To edit the startup options manually click the edit button. So click the Edit button and remove whatever line you need.

Cheers!
