The ubuntu community is full of stupid fanboys
See, I used to be against it for this very reason. I went with SUSE all the way for newcomers, and Gentoo for the more experienced folk.

That said, fanboys in the community or not - for what it is it's a rather good OS. The only reason it's full of fanboys is because you get script kiddies installing it then bragging about the fact they can install linux (still going by the misconception that it's as hard as it was in the last century.) There's some really quite intelligent people out there developing and using it - go by what they say, ignore the fanboys and you can't really go far wrong.

I am currently a Windows XP 64-bit user. It's strange being a minority.

I am currently using Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. I boot up into 32-Bit, but run a lot of 64-Bit Programs.

If you don't know, it's probably 32-bit. If it was 64-bit, it would say specifically Windows XP 64-bit during the startup.

I'm gonna have to jump ship from my Xp-32 MCE installation. Apparently, Fermi drivers won't show any love for XP users :| This is hear-say but it will give me a good excuse to buy Vista or Se7en.
