i can't access my external hard drive. i plug it into my laptop via usb, vista recognises that the drive is there, the icon shows up in my computer, but whenever i try to open the hard drive it comes up with an error message saying "access denied" (i am the administrator btw). i have tried changing the ownership but this has had no affect.
i did have a desktop pc, which was using XP, and this external hard drive was working perfectly on it.
please help me.
