Default Msconfig

Following the post
"vista beta 2 sample tweaks"
i thought any one who does not know much about msconfig i would tell you about it.
msconfig is a programme that comes with xp and other os and it decides what comes up at start up to access it go:
start^run^msnconfig and then go to startup and you can decide what goes on in there if any1 wants any help pm me.

I may be wrong but I think you've posted his in the wrong forum. I think it should go in ether the: General Computer Hardware And Software forum or the Operating Systems Forum.

yea good post but wrong section.
just to add if you click on "services" you can disable some stuff like "themes" if you dont use them which will make your pc faster. you can google about for what services can be safely disabled

It's also in Windows 95 and Windows 98.

You failed to mention that if you modify certain Window's startup components that you can ruin your bootup and possibly crash your computer.

only if you untick some of the important services, like "remote procedure call" then you may have a problem.
the startup tab is only for user installed programs so you could untick the whole lot and the comupter would be fine.
