I'm planning on swapping out my motherboard for a new one. Does anyone know if i'll have to buy a new Operating System, or is there somehow I can keep my current one.

Thanks!

As long as your mobo will just allow you to plug in your old hard drive it shouldnt be a problem, however this does not allways work.

no, you shouldnt have to buy a new os
XP might ask you to reactivate because of hardware changes
and seeing as you will have a new BIOS with the new mobo windows might not let you activeate and youll have to call microsoft and tell them that. then theyll let you activate
