Default Mandrake Name Problem

After endless googleing .... i havent come up with a clear cut solution on how to change my computers name. It was my mistake not to change it during setup but i really need to now.

i go into konsole and it says user@localhost:
can i change that ?
Ive tried the commands set HOSTNAME=computer name
HOSTNAME=computername
modifying the host file in /etc

Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated, thankyou in advance

PS. Running Mandrake 10.1
