That really depends on how much gaming you want to do, and which OS you like the most. Like Jar said, if you do go with a Mac and see that you need to run some Windows software, there is always the option of installing Windows via boot camp. This would give you the ability to run just about everything that a Windows PC is able to run with the exception of a few of the latest games. If you want to play all of the latest games, then Windows would probably be the best option.

For film making, either OS should do a great job if you have enough ram and a good graphics card, but in my opinion the Mac gets the highest ratings in this area. I have done lots of video, and intensive graphics projects with my Mac, and love the way that it does.
