Default Looking for a gui similar to windows but cheaper or possibly free

Looking for a gui similar to windows but cheaper or possibly free, anybody have ideas? I saw this one that looked like it was alot more functional than windows, but I don't remember the name, and no, I don't want lindows.

The only operating system you are going to get for free is a Linux distro. No such os as Lindows it's called Linspire which will cost you money.

Go here and read about the various distro's. Most you can download, or get for a few dollars on cd.

GUI? What do you mean? Do you want a different OS or just a GUI?

He doesn't want Linspire either.. because when it first came out, it indeed was called Lindows. ^_^ I had downloaded it from LinuxISO when it was free and called Lindows..

Linspire is the worst distro ever. A GNU/Linux distro that tries to emulate Windows is seriously not a good thing.

anyway guys he wants another os because windows is its own ms gui. LOL

ubuntu is a nice distro too. I've got 10 CDs.. and you can order them for free from the ubuntu linux site.. ^_^

Ubuntu has great hardware support. Only bad point is the lack of KDE.
