Default Linux install Error

Every time i try to install ubuntu on my old computer i get this error :
[ 268.271703] PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 8 of bridge 0000:00:1e.0
Does anyone know what this means? If so please help me . I really want to install linux on the old computer.

First let me say that it is great that you are looking to make the change from M$ to Linux. Ubuntu is probably the easiest way to go.

Can you tell me how old your old computer is? Because plain Ubuntu may not be the best fit for you if your computer is old. Here is a link to another version of Ubuntu called Xubuntu:
