linux add a printer

Hi, I have a linux lab runing fedora core 3. All the workstations boot up with a floppy to the server. I would like to know how to install a printer to these machines so they will be able to print. I am very new to linux and know close to nothing about it. (someone else set up the lab). The printer is a HP 1300n, it is pluged directly into the network with a cat5 cable (not shared with a computer) could someone please explain in detail how to add this printer to the machines? please.... thanks.

if i add the printer logged in as root. will it apply it to all of the workstations or do i have to go around to each computer and add the printer?
