Default Laptop OS Query

Is it possible to update my laptop to XP from Win98? Most state it is but my spec is WIN98 preinstalled
( I have no 98 disc ) with only 64mb of RAM, and hard drive is only 10gb. Some say the XP upgrade disc only comes in the XP Pro version...would this be a factor in my proposal given my laptops spec?

100 is quoted cost from the high street, any better offers out there?

If so is there a link or url showing how to do this?

You could upgrade to windows xp if you wanted to. You are at the very bottom of the minimum ram requirements: 64mb. You have enough hdd space with 10 gigs. That is all that I have on my xp partition, and it works fine for me.

You can still get xp home if you want to get it. I found it here for $98.99 US Dollars.

It will work, however I'd definitely get more ram. 64mb is very little and you will run into problems if you have multiple programs running at the same time.
