Intel or Amd?

thanks for the advice on the os.
just one more thing can you say what you thinks is best and why.

Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme QX9650 or AMD phenom.?/

i would personally go with the phenom
b/c i have had less issues with amd then intel
but i have heard that intel processors are better
but its your choice

I have always used AMD and never had any problems with them. But like Blackaos said intel is getting better.(So the word is at least.)

Use the intel eXtrme! I hear that phenom is having lots of probelm
I think with like over heating unless im mistaken...

You cannot compare the Core 2 Extremes and the Phenoms. They are not at all in the same price range! Phenoms are having a few problems ATM. My advice would be to buy one when the faster ones (2.4 and 2.6GHZ) are out. If you don't want to wait then either the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 or the Core 2 Quad Q9300 would be good choices.

I Have heard some not so nice things about he Phenom,So i would go with Intel.Although,If it were dual core,Go AMD .

The Q6600 and the Phenom 9600 is a more fair comparison. If you want the processor now, get the Q6600, if you're prepared to wait a bit, go with the higher clocked Phenoms (2.4GHz and 2.6GHz)

they are both REALLy good but I have heard the intel has a little better performance...

I love the Phenom 9600 Black Edition and IMO, I have plans on grabbing that thing and installing it in my AMD rig.
