Default Installing Windows help

Hi there, my friend has a netbook that wont load up windows (xp, home edition)

Ovbs it doesnt have a disc drive, so my options are limited. Iv tried making a usb with the windows files on so it will go into the windows boot screen. This works but now it doesnt seem to register the netbooks harddrive.

Is there anything i can do?

The netbook is an Acer one D260-A with an intel atom processor, 1gb ram , and 160 gd hdd.

thanks in advance

Use nLite to slipstream the netbook's drivers into the installation.

Most probably a SATA driver issue.

If you don't want the hassle of the drivers, get Ubuntu for free! (Or Windows 8)

Go into the BIOS and change the SATA operation. I forget the wording but their are 2 options and changing it to the other option will sometimes work.
