My trusty workhorse is in my signature, but just in case, here are its specs:

Intel Pentium 4 1.8 Ghz

512mb DDR400 , and 256mb DDR216 Ram

40 Gb IED Hd

1.44mb 3.5" Floppy

CD Rom 8x

350Watt Power supply

Hard Disk was De-Fragged, then wipped clear on my desktop. No OS installed.

My OS choices are:

Windows 95 Plus

Windows 98

Windows NT4 Server

windows XP MCE

DOS 5.22 (floppy)

Windows Vista Ultimate

Windows 2000 ($30)

Which one should I choose?

May I be the first to say this...

Why the heck would you want to do that??? I'd recommend Windows 2000 but you don't have a license it seems. If you do go the Windows 98 route for whatever insane reason, make sure you get 98se.

Why not try Linux? Fedora and Debian are fairly nice.

why not ubuntu it will run on there fairly well i have a old dell laptop with almost those same specs and it runs great u can get it from here to

http://www.ubuntu.com/

just download and burn to a iso and install

DOS 5?! Ouch.

As said above, whack linux on it - it'll be far more useful that way. Ubuntu should be ok but if it is a bit sluggish give XUbuntu a try instead - it's designed to be more lightweight.
