EDIT: I moved this post to its own thread. It seemed kind of random here.

This can be deleted by mods or whatever, I don't see a way how to do so myself.

Hi guyz ...
I just downloaded Fedora Core 4 and i just finished testing out some features on Knoppix and i am still kind of a newb
Do you guyz recommend anything else ?
Slackware perhaps ? Or red hat ... ?

Adding to opinions:

MEPIS Linux is a Mandrake flavour, but with more applications installed. Also has KDE3.1

Awesome for newbies, but the performence is laggy

i just switched to suse 9.3 to debian/sarge, it runs faster and has less problems

RedHat 9.5 is not new at all. It's very old.
