Default Install MS 2003 Server on a different partition !

I need to Install MS 2003 Server on a different partition,

OS currently is Vista home edition.

I have partitioned the C: and added I: & H:

but having trouble, your help is greatly appreciated.

I tried to boot from the CD, it was successful, BUT, windows did not detect a hard drive !! I am kind of lost ..... please help

Do you have a RAID card, or a SATA controller card? (often the same thing).

Also, Why would you need to dual boot the two?

edit: i can think of a number of reasons now
