Thumbs down How To Install Windows XP

This guide will teach you how to install Windows XP Home or Professional.

If u have a wireless internet, download drivers and copy them to ur usb!!!!

You will need a copy of windows xp cd and a serial key.

first restart ur computer and keep pressing f10 until u go into boot menu. for dell its f2.

insert ur windows xp cd into the drive

next go to boot settings, change the order to cd-rom first and the other ones dont matter.

save ur settings and exit, it will reboot and go into a blue screen that says windows xp setup. if it goes to a black screen and says press any key to boot from cd, press any key.

when it has finished loading everything, press D to delete ur partition and create a new partition whre it says unpartitioned space. it will have a lot of numbers so dont change any of the numbers when creating a partition.

once u have created the partition install xp onto the newly created partition, it will start copying files and then it will setup xp by itself. so u dont have to do anything.

on the setup screen it MIGHT say choose ur time settings and other stuff but it might not, so just set ur time.

once the setup is finished ur computer will reboot and startup with a windows logo. click next on the screens that appear and just type in ur serial key in the validation screen. NOTE: u will need the internet so make sure ur internet is plugged in. if u have a wireless that requires drivers just install them from ur usb, remember from the top of this tutorial.

i hope this helped anyone who didnt know how to install xp or how to create a partition. if there is another guide please do not delete this one.
