Default How i can recover ubuntu without installing again?!

hello
I have two questions :

1. I had two windows xp installed in my PC.
one in drive C:\ which was Primary and Active.
I had installed my another windows xp in H:\ which is a logical drive. (and both is NTFS).
after I installed Ubuntu10.10, one of my windowses which was in drive H:\ failed to load.
and boot.ini file was completely correct. what the problem can be?

2. because I used to work with two xp installed at my PC, then I installed a new XP in my drive H:\ which
caused Ubuntu boot manager to lost.
Is there any way to recover my Ubuntu boot manager without installing Ubuntu again.

Hey subuntu,

First question: (just out of curiosity) why would you have two instances of XP installed on your machine for?
Second: Did you actually try and partition the H drive? to me it sounds like you have been reformatting it each time you install a new OS.

With so many installations on your H:\ drive grub might be having a bit of a hard time recognizing them and loading them. Did you have anything that was of great importance on Ubuntu? Because if you didn't then i would just reinstall windows first on that HDD and then ubuntu making sure that you partition the drive while installing ubuntu.
