Default Help pick a Linux Dist

I need some help (again).

I want to run the Linux kernel in Microsoft Virtual PC but what GUI should I use that wont need to much RAM or G-RAM (I have 8MB of G-RAM), that I can download via a torrent.

Cheers!

If you want a very small linux that takes very little ram to run and is fast, then check out DSM (damn small linux)
for ease of use, i'll say Linux Mint or Ubuntu.
For a more Windows like linux, Zorin OS 6 is no doubt the best.

My favorite is Kubuntu. (ubuntu with KDE interface)

Installed DSM ran DSM and love DSM, not as much as Windows XP, that is my fav OS.

Thanks for that, now I can try all the commands I learned in Bash shell.
