help with my t60p

I don,t know if i,m in the right place for this question, but here goes. I bought a refurbished ibm t60p laptop on ebay and can,t get the sound to work. I,ve tried everyway i know to turn it on, but can,t get it to work. i even plugged headphones in but still no sound.any help will be appreciated
