Default Help with Linux file permits

Hi again everyone I need sum help with Centos 5.5 KDE Linux,

How do you read file permits, the one im looking at is in ~/home/Dale/Downloads and has this next to it

-rwxrwxrwx ---r-x-rw-

Hi,

The simple answer is to chmod u+r testfile. That is what I would do. For more help with permissions see Linux File Permissions.

Thank you, working fine. I wanted network access users from dumb termanals, for them to only read an execute the file.
