Default Help

Hi all, im having a problem upgrading windows media player(WMP) on my current OS.

Im still running Xp, i tried to upgrade from WMP 9 to WMP 11 so could use my computer as a media centre for my ps3 wirelessly. Anywho, after downloading WMP 11 and attempting to install, i got an error saying that my version of windows could not be validated and the upgrade couldnt go ahead. Now my WMp doesnt work at all. I tried a system restore from before the WMp 11 installation but it still doesnt work.

Any ideas on what to do?

Thanks!

Is your XP legit?

Validation usually only fails with pirated software.

if it is genuine try a repair install and try upgrading WMP again

I think you have to download window media player's kodecs and then upload those kodecs to your computer. I hope it will be working.
