Default have a qustion

Ok here is the deal. My nephew wants to me to fix his laptop. He has Norton security on it and he wants Mcavee. Well this is what he did on his own

He went to Program files and found Norton and deleted it my shift+delete, so its not there anymore, and when I try to do a system restore it wasnt set up so i can go back. So does anyone have any idea how i can delete Norton and install Mcvaee

Reinstall Norton and then uninstall it correctly using Add/Remove Programs. You could try CCleaner to fix the registry, but you'll probably have better luck just reinstalling and uninstalling correctly.

Try CCleaner then. If that doesn't work for you, then you may have to consider a format and reinstallation of Windows.

No, you pretty much have to back up any files you want to keep to another storage device (different hard drive, flash drive, burn to CD/DVD, etc.). Formatting erases everything.
