Software compatable with linux

As far as software compatible w/ Linux goes...I use Mandriva 2006 but I've got a digital camera that works seamlessly w/ Windows but won't run directly on my Linux box. Instead of building (or, trying to build) a crazy work-around, I spent 50 bucks on this Parallels Workstation, and used it to create a virtual machine running XP. Huge time-saver, easy on the wallet, and made specifically for Linux...hit up the website for info http://www.parallels.com

i know it offically supports redhat, fedora core, mandriva, debian, and SUSE. I think it also supports xandros, ubuntu, slackware, gentoo, and corel as well. Here's a link to their website to check Primary and Guest OS:

Well, many people use Ubuntu Linux, a debian based distro. It's new version (Dapper Drake) is in beta and is supposed to be so much more compatible with hardware it's not even funny.
