Ive noticed lately that both of my external hard drives are flashing when nothing is going on. Here is a list of what I have going on

Have you tried grabbing spybot / malwarebytes and running full scans? Did they pick anything up?

It might just be that windows is indexing the drives for searching - that will make them thrash while it happens and is normal behaviour. Should stop when windows has finished :)
 
You log file looks fine. I think berry is on to something with Windows indexing the drives. You could also go through your start up list and remove anything that doesn't need to be running.
