Can someone help?
How hard is it supposed to be to format a HD ?
I have a pIII 355 MHZ and it is custom built (had winxp PRO)
I took a dump! I had to reboot with a win98 boot disk w/ cd-rom support delete all non dos partitions and primary and extended dos partitions and put a primary partition back on ... OK did it FINE !!
Now when i restart w/ boot disk and cd-rom support and type FORMAT C: it says it is a bad command and yet you are supposed to be able to switch from A:\ to cd-rom (D:\) and type SETUP and voilah but no it says "Can't run this program in DOS"
Can someone help please ? Also i don't have a bootable winXP OS only upgrades and OEMS .... ANY SUGGESTIONS ?
