When will the nvidia 600 series become signicantly cheaper?

As soon as the 700 series is released, Q4 '12 maybe, or Q1 '13 probably.

I'm waiting for the GTX 780 myself.

Isn't it already a pretty decent price for what you get? Also, didn't they just recently release a value GPU within the 600 series? I believe I read an article about it on PC Gamer.

Yup, they've got about 4 models now -- most review/benchmarking sites are hot on the 660 version.
