Default Google Picking it's own sites when clicking links...

Something took over my google... lol. Everytime I search something on Chrome, I click a result, and it brings me to a completely different unrelated link, some advertising bug we might have gotten? But I did a search with AVG and Windows defender, and both found nothing... On top of that this computer is running terribly slow. It's not that bad of a machine... 1gb ram, 2.8ghz P4, 80gb HDD. Idk what's going on... Any ideas? Maybe time for a format...

Are you on the dev channel? Sometimes weird crap happens in that.

Do a search on a program like:

Spybot Search & Destroy which is made to search for spyware/ad's only

^ ^ What he said. Coupled with the fact it's running at a snail's pace, that's really a classic spyware / malware symptom.

You'd think so, but maybe not

I ran it, it found 6 problems, I ran Ccleaner, cleared some stuff. But google is still acting weird... ugh, I am probably just going to back up and format.
