I'll try and explain this the best I can. My friend was over and needed to use my computer so I opened a new person profile for them to use. They logged into their gmail google account which also was shown on the side of googles home page that their account was logged in. They forgot to log out when finished and I thought I was signed out of my chrome profile on the top right of the web page so I logged into my profile and linked my account to the new guest page. I realized that they were logged into their google account after. Since we were both logged in on the same browser will all my past history and passwords be linked to his google account now? Since he was logged into the gmail and google/YouTube account when I logged into the chrome profile. I know my current web activity would be synced to his google account since he was signed in. I mean will all previous activity and passwords before I logged into the same browser be present to him. Sorry about the long post, just trying my best to explain.

Just log out of your gmail account and you should be fine. Just because you signed him out and then signed in as yourself doesn't mean your gmail accounts will suddenly be fused together or something.

You can clear the browsing history in the browser too if you'd like, but I doubt your friend will have access to much.

No that's not what I mean sorry. I mean you can have 2 users logged in at once actually. One can be on the chrome tool bar at the very top corner and that's where you save passwords and bookmarks etc. the other spot is google.com and right above the search box you will see sign in. These 2 logins 2 different people can be signed in at the same time. So if he signed into the google website box which is also the same as his gmail email account. And then I logged into the top profile and all my bookmarks and passwords became a part of the guest browser that I opened for my friend. Will all my current passwords and history now show up in my friends web activity?

Ok, I think I understand what you're saying. I decided to test the theory.

Currently, I am signed in to google and I'm using Chrome. So, I signed into the Chrome browser as well, but used another account. I gave Chrome the OK to sync everything, then after a few minutes I signed out of Chrome. My original account remained signed in to the google services.

I went to activity.google.com to see what content was in my history there. Only the sites I had visited with my primary account was there.

Then, I checked Chrome's browser history to see if the content from the account I had just disconnected remained, but it didn't.

I also checked my Chrome saved passwords after reverting my changes. Everything appears normal there, too.

If I've replicated your scenario correctly, I think you're pretty safe if you disconnected your account from Chrome. How much do you trust this friend? If you feel uncomfortable, you can change your passwords on your account as well. But I'd say you're probably in the clear.

This is a good example of why I don't sign into the chrome browser. I also know a tale of a friend's boss who used this feature, and one day when he got to the office, he opened up Chrome and lo and behold, all of the porn tabs from his home computer magically appeared right there for all his employees to see. :)

I think you got it right. So when you checked both google activity for both separate accounts and it remained the same as before. No new searches that wasn't searched for under the account itself? I tried to test it myself to and I believe I came up with the same results as you.

Sounds like good old fashioned karma to me. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Why browse porn anywhere anyways? Get a girlfriend or get married and you don't need that junk.
